Free Translation Services and Software (for Web, Email, IM, Documents)
The online services and/or (offline) software listed on this page allow you to translate your documents, email, and website to another language. Many of them provide bi-directional translation free of charge. Now if you encounter that email or website in a foreign language, don't worry, hop over to this page and try the services listed below to get a translated version in your own language. Check the description given for each service/software below for the list of languages and/or dialects supported.
Note: These machine translations (MT) are seldom perfect. Depending on how the language is used on the original page (grammar, idioms, irony, sarcasm, etc), you may have to use some intelligent guesswork to understand even the translated page. If you want a perfect translation, you should probably employ a human translator.
